Self-test French

If you register for a French course for the first time, we recommend to take an online self-test to get an indication of your level. Based on the result of the self-test, you can register for the course that matches your level best. In most courses, an additional orientation test will be organized during the first session to confirm that the language course of your choice is a good fit for you.

The French self-test takes a maximum of 90 minutes. After the test, you will see a score that will enable you to determine which courses matches your level best:

  • < 25% : Practical French 1
  • 25% - 35% : Practical French 2
  • 35% - 45% : French conversation course for beginning learners
  • 45% - 60% : Practical French 3
  • 60% - 70% : Practical French 4 or French conversation course for advanced learners
  • > 70% : Practical French 5
