Can I cancel my registration for a test?

Yes, you can cancel or postpone your registration for a test. If you cancel or postpone your registration at least two weeks before the test, you will only need to pay an administration fee of 25 euros. If you cancel later, you will need to pay the full amount. 

For language tests by appointment, cancellation or postponement is possible up to two weeks before the scheduled date. The cancellation fee in that case is 50 euros. The UCT will cancel the test by appointment if it has not received payment at least seven working days before the test.

You can only cancel a registration for a test by sending an email to uct@ugent.be.

Please note that refunds do not happen automatically. If you need a refund, you should send an email to uct@ugent.be within the same academic year with the following information:

• Your name and your address
• Your original registration form
• Your account number, IBAN code (Europe) or SWIFT code (outside of Europe)
• The bank’s name, address and SWIFT code (only in case of an account outside of Belgium)

Ghent University carries out refunds twice a month.
